Sorry this is a week late, so I will be updating two weeks of letters today.
Jeff was lucky enough to catch Will on the computer, so they were actually able to chat back and forth a bit. Here is a bit of what William had to say:
"Kristi is on date for May 2nd!! And she's been brought a friend to the first lesson, her name is Elizabeth and she wants to learn more. At first Kristi's Mom didn't like her investigating but now she wants to learn more so we're going to teach the Plan of Salvation at her house with Her Mom! .....
I have felt the Lords blessing so much as well, I really wish you could meet my new companion. He's from Samoa! His name is Elder Brown, he always jokes that his name isn't Samoan haha. He's one of the most humble good men I've met on my mission. He started learning the language 8 months ago, so there is some complications there but when he bears testimony it's very powerful because it's simplified and pure. He misses his people very much though and has been doing his best to adjust.
This last week has been one of the happiest on my mission. We found 3 new investigators, and taught 21 lessons! (Elizabeth being one of the new gators). One is a Chinese foreign exchange student named Zach who wants to learn more about our religion. He's 16, we found him when we were invited to an Easter egg hunt some members were having and they had a bunch of their neighbors there that we talked to. The people Zach is staying with were super open to having us in their home to teach him...we might be able to teach them too! The third is a man in his mid-60's that we tracted by the Spirit into, his name is Clarence. We spoke with him for 3 hours outside his house, he just had a ton of questions, and we read from the Book of Mormon with him. He is a strong Bible believing Christian and he said he didn't find any contradiction with the Book of Mormon and wants to have us back to learn more. We're going to go back this coming Thursday and bringing a member with us who converted to Mormonism from being a Baptist. .....
It's really great to find more people to teach, that's really what we need. When I first got here we had like 6 real investigating people/families to teach, we'll continue to focus on finding. I know there are people ready to receive this message. Thank you for keeping them in your prayers :)
Mom wanted to know how many people were in the district, there's 4 companionships total (all Elders), and as of today we all have cars! Also we each cover 2 wards accept the Clement Park Elders because their area is so big. .....
Your testimonies meant so much to me, it was a great Easter for me to reflect on things as well. Life, family, the atonement, my mission etc.
Those pics were really great! The fam is lookin' good! :) Garrett in particular looks different to me, time for a hair cut dude, rofl! ......
I'm proud of each one of you and send all my Love!
